Privacy Policy

We at Software4Nonprofits (the owner of DONATION TM, ACCOUNTS TM and www.Software4Nonprofits.com) respect your privacy. This statement is our privacy policy, which discloses our information practices.

Information Use
Software4Nonprofits is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will NEVER, barring a direct court order, share, sell or rent this information, outside of a transfer of the entire business, to others in any way other than as disclosed in this policy or stated at the point where the information is collected.

Registration
This web site includes a registration form for you to provide information to us. You are required to give us information (at least your email address) so that we may contact you. We use this information to contact you about the services of our company for which you have expressed an interest by registering.

Log Files
We may use Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track a user’s movement and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. “Aggregate use” means that information from all users is collected and gathered into a whole unit so that information as a whole can be used. We do not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information.

Correspondence
When you complete our registration form, we send you a welcoming email. You may occasionally receive by email information and update announcements on products and services. We will also email you to request payment for the software if you have not paid one month after registration, and to request Annual Fee payments for continued use of the program, updates and support. You may “opt out” of receiving these communications if you do not intend to use the software, or do not desire to be informed of updates or reminded to renew. If you have ceased using the software, simply notify us by email at info@Software4Nonprofits.com and we will take you off our mailing list.

Sharing
We may use credit card processing companies to bill for goods and services. You may be directed to their websites in order to make a credit card payment. At that point, those companies’ privacy policies will apply.

Correcting and Updating Information
If any information related to you or your organization changes or if you no longer wish to use our service, we offer to correct, update or remove any personal or organizational data that you have provided to us. This can be done by emailing us at info@Software4Nonprofits.com.

Security
We want to protect your information. Because Software4Nonprofits.com is a small business, we cannot ensure the security of our computers in the same way that a large business could. However, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to secure your information. If sensitive information such as credit card numbers is ever collected, it will be done through encrypted web pages, and will be stored in encrypted files on our computers. Other less sensitive information, such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses, may not be encrypted, but will be password-protected.

Only employees who need information to perform a specific job will be granted access to personally identifiable information.

Gmail Specific Authentication

When you choose to use your Gmail account to email reports, receipts, mail-merge letters or database backups, you can use Gmail specific authentication. That follows the Open Authentication Version 2 Standard (OAuth2), as the way to login to the Gmail server. To do that, you need to grant permissions to send emails on your behalf to your ACCOUNTS or DONATION products. Your ACCOUNTS or DONATION program will then use the permission to send out emails on your behalf, when you use menu options that send out emails. Both programs store access and refresh token which are used to send emails on your behalf and your email address which is used to display the connected Gmail account.

The use and transfer by DONATION or ACCOUNTS to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a site transfers to a user’s (visitor’s) hard disk or browser for added functionality or for tracking site usage. In order to measure the effectiveness of our online presence, Software4Nonprofits may use cookies to determine the path users take on our site or the page from which users came to our site and to identify repeat users of our site. We do not use cookies to gather personal information such as a person’s name or email address.

Cookies can be saved to your hard disk. On the Software4Nonprofits.com home page (and similar top or index pages) and registration page, we use cookies that are saved to the hard disk and therefore remain after the browser is closed. Such cookies are used to determine the page or advertisement from which users came to our site. The page from which users came to our site may be transmitted with your registration information if you fill in the registration form. Information accumulated in that way will be analyzed statistically for the purpose of determining the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

It is possible to configure your browser to reject cookies by modifying the browser settings or preferences. If you wish to do so, we recommend you consult the information provided in the browser or contact the browser vendor for help and instructions.

Notification of Policy Changes
If we decide to use any information you have provided to us in a manner different from that stated in this privacy policy or as stated at the time it was collected, we will notify you by email. You will have the choice to allow us to use the information in this different manner. We will use information according to the privacy policy posted at the time the information was collected.
